In 2001, I was awarded an MTA MetroLab Grant to create a project entitled "Plotting Along Parallel Lines" that was installed inside two MTA RedLine stations, Bevery/Vermont and the Los Angeles City College stations. Transit riders, while waiting for trains to arrive, watched slide projections of addresses along the Vermont corridor, addresses they would pass if they walked instead of taking the subway.
